Travelled I – 90\u00a0to Moses Lake cutting north through<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em> Soap Lake<\/a>, Dry Falls<\/a>, Brewster<\/a>, Pateros<\/a>\u00a0, <\/span><\/span>Winthrop<\/a>, and onto the<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span> North Cascade Highway 20<\/a>. \u00a0<\/span><\/span>Stayed in the cold snow covered campground of Lone Fir.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em> \u00a0Lone Fir<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>is the last Campground before<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em> Washington and Rainy Pass<\/a>. <\/span><\/span>\u00a0Departing in the morning as\u00a0the sun highlighting the peaks, the last campsite is found to have a discarded BBQ! \u00a0Trashholes anonymous brings white trash to the North Cascades.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

Through the passes with peeks at peaks.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em> \u00a0<\/em>Canyon Creek Trail<\/a> <\/span><\/span>to<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em> \u00a0Beebe Cabin<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>at the confluence of Canyon Creek and Granite Creek where brave dog braves Granite Creek Bridge!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

A vulture is flushed overlooking stream trail near the<\/em> Marblemount Fish Hatchery<\/a>. \u00a0Would think crossing paths with a turkey vulture would be considered more \u00a0“mal de chance” then \u00a0black cat.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Angst while driving<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em> Diablo Dam Road<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to hike on<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em> Ross Lake Trail<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span> Passing the<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em> North Cascade Institute<\/a><\/span><\/span> happened upon pile of deer bones arranged neatly on path. \u00a0Small herd of mule deer in the forest, unafraid ? tamed and undaunted by the bone pile one approaches within 5 yards despite the quivering alert sitting silent golden.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

With Crux Ansata completion angst unfolds to frustration as the accompanying literature is entirely inappropriate to the trip. \u00a0Fortunately F250 stocked with nature references affording encountered feathered\u00a0Genus species identifications. \u00a0The day has brought endear and enduring taunting from\u00a0<\/em>Corvus\u00a0brachyrhynchos<\/a>, ubiquitous<\/em>\u00a0Turdus migratorius<\/a>\u00a0and aerial approaches of<\/em>\u00a0Salasphorus rufous<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n
