These equations are all “adult” that are modified further for the pediatric population.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n
\u201cV\u201d is for \u201cVolume\u201d quantified in milliliters of crystalloid solution. The original Sydney Ringer’s solution lactated by Hartmann, commonly \u201cLR\u201d, currently is the preferred<\/a> IV fluid.
