Delayed departure under meteorological conditions again describing the Pacific Northwest version of 100 Shades of Gray. But at Lookout Pass, the sun breaks through to blue and where a year ago the ski trails were bare, today , a dog snow angel.

But of course there is time to browse books. And “down the street” in a small gallery (Cinderella Mountain Gallery) fine art, particularly the photo art. Friendly travel advice from the art eyed proprietor suggests a shortcut to Lolo Hot springs bypassing Missoula using Petty Creek Road.
